Pure Baloney
I've been doing it for 13 years Ed. It's all about cutting out waste and finding more cost effective or more reliable ways of doing things. You eliminate a nagging problem and it usually does do all three. You cut waste and it makes things faster and cheaper. What you don't do is simply cut cost by reducing manpower without doing anything to make the underlying processes more efficient. This apperars to have been part of Goldin's approach to FBC and that of corprorate America in many cases and why they failed.
