that can carry the crew from Earth orbit to Mars and allow for an abort back to Earth without replenishment. That's a mission duration upwards of 2 years long without any possiblity for resupply. We've never come close to achieving that. The ISS gets regular resupply from Progress and from Shuttle missions when they resume.
