That's what my wife says. She has been studying what you would call new age philosophy/religion for over twenty years. She reads about a book a week. In her "quest for the truth", she has come to believe just about every principle that SDAI had ever mentioned here. It blows me away when I read his stuff because I've heard it all before. She is totally non-scientific but has arrived at the same conclusions. This would suggest a possibility of absolutes. (Or they read the same books)
Believing that you are responsible for everything in your life is a hard one. The say you actually create your environment with your thoughts, attitudes and "energy". I still haven't accepted it. If figure it out, and it's true, I'll be driving a Diablo.
SDAI's "Mirror Principle" is almost as hard to accept, but it's true. The only way I was able to see it was because I had a desire to understand what the hell my wife was seeing. After several hard looks at myself I was able to improve relationships with people (in-laws) that used to really piss me off.
As far as creating and being responsible for pain and suffering in your own life- I'm not sure I buy it either Steve.
Reincarnation? Karma?
Just more ways to try to explain death and negativity. And not entirely intuitive.
I don’t' think we need to worry about SDAI teaching to children. It's hard enough finding adults with open minds to listen to this stuff.
