In free markets jobs WILL leave here for India. Jobs like call center response and high paying jobs like software engineering are recent examples of this trend. I may not 'like it' because it's my field but we, US companies, cannot compete if we pay more $ to produce product X than someone else who is the lowest cost producer.
Our govt's role should be to facilitate lower overhead costs here in the US, taxes, regulations, etc. Unfortunately, our pols do precisely the opposite by piling on regulations and mandates and then stand back amazed as jobs leave. Duh.
