If you think someone may be pointing a gun at you either now, soon or at some inderterminate point in the future and one bystander who says he's a weapons expert says he may be holding a gun, and it might possibly be loaded, and another weapons expert who is actually standing next to him says it doesn't look like he has a gun, and even if he does have one somewhere, it sure as hell ain't loaded , how do you act on that information? What if three expert onlookers who have been actively searching say it isn't a gun at all , and only one says it is based on supposition and extrapolation ?
You have the means to shoot the guy's head off and you will get the chance to spend over a hundred billion dollars to look after his family for years to come. Think hard.
And BTW, the guy's still a complete bastard.
