Silly.

Saddam was not a nice guy.

Given that, let's assume someone 4 blocks away from where you live wasn't a nice guy, beat up his wife, stole money from his children, and was obnoxious toward one of his neighbors who was your friend.

You get together with all your friends, tell 'em that this guy has guns, dynamite, grenades and mortars and is going to use them on all of you.

The guy denies having them. Your neighbors say that they've been worried, but Good Ol' Harry is looking for them. If he has those, Harry will find them.

You beg your neighbors to go with you to take care of the guy. They refuse, preferring to let Harry keep looking. He hasn't found anything. They won't give you permission to do it, either.

You decide the hell with it, you absolutely know he's hiding guns, grenades, etc. You and your cousin form a "coalition", kick down the guys door, capture him, shoot his kids, and steal everything he owns.

And don't find any guns, dynamite, grenades or mortars.

No one claims he was a nice guy. However, in a civilized world that's murder and theft.

You don't get to kill everyone who isn't nice. Especially if they aren't a threat to you. And you don't get to kill everyone who isn't nice in order to steal their stuff.

Not if you're civilized. Not if you're honest. Not if you're wanting to be respected.

And you don't approve of that behavior. Not if you're civilized. Not if you're honest. Not if you want to be respected.

Arf (Sorry, alcaray, it got a bit complicated. Ignore this one.)
