I got my undergraduate degree at U.C. Berkeley in 1976. Berkeley was a great school to go to. During the time I was there, we were still basking in the rosy afterglow of the Free Speech Movement and the People's Park demos. Firey political speakers were still common at Sproul Plaza, e.g. Angela Davis. One of the cliches of the time were these beautiful young female revolutionaries. They were gorgeous in their tight fitting Che Guevara t-shirts and black berets. Stupid young men with more testosterone than good sense would orbit these poisonous girls like moths around a bug zapper. Fortunately, young people have a license to be stupid provided it doesn't kill them or anyone else. I wonder what happens to a beautiful female revolutionary after she looses her good looks? Does she end up being vice president of the local PTA?
