We screwed up royally??

McFly says:
>"We screwed up. Royally. And we need to admit it both to ourselves and to the world."
Well, not only weren't there any WMD, it is becoming increasingly more obvious that we DID go in just for the oil.

>" Cheney is said to have once remarked that the country that controls Middle East oil can exercise a "stranglehold" over the global economy."
So naturally THAT'S what his "secret energy meetings" were all about. You know, .....the ones he held at his place around New Years.....the ones you weren't invited to? Or the press for that matter? Oh, he's trying his best to keep them "secret" you know, get the Supreme Court Justices to protect him and all. After all, he and Scalia went DUCK HUNTING just a couple of weeks ago (ahem).

>"There are many other indications that, despite the Bush administration's repeated and insistent denials, petroleum politics may have played a crucial role in the U.S. invasion of Iraq."

THIS makes me mad because we have all been played for fools by the Bush administration and his right wing oil hawks...."energy" my foot!
Securing America? Or is it their wallets?

>" In January 2003, the Wall Street Journal reported that representatives from Exxon Mobil Corp., ChevronTexaco Corp., ConocoPhillips and Halliburton, among others, were meeting with Vice President Cheney's staff to plan the post- war revival of Iraq's oil industry."

As far as I'm concerned they should be indicted for murder......for thousands of innocents at home and abroad while looking the other way.....at someone else's oil wells........this stinks!
