I understand your anger, Jody, but I think this issue goes a lot deeper than just male lust. Most men have sexual appetites, but most do not act on them indiscriminately. I'm highly attracted to beautiful young women, but I've never raped one, or even wanted to. And I imagine the vast majority of men aren't too different from me in that respect.
A certain percentage of people are driven by deviant, pathological drives. That is to be expected. But it appears that there is an unexpectedly high number of them in this particular population of men, a sample that is more educated, dedicated, disciplined, and supposedly, more given to spiritual contemplation and moral meditation than most.
That is what makes this particularly disturbing to me.
