This has gone on since the beginning of time. I think that people are finally just speaking up.
Remember a lot of these abuse victims are in their 50 and 60's. There is a shift when we get older...and we begin to demand ownership of others' transgressions against us.
I have a friend, that at 56 still refuses to acknowledge sexual abuse perpetrated against him when he was 13. The abuser was 25. My friend thinks that it was okay because he enjoyed it.
Odd...my friend came out as a homosexual at 49.
