First 9/11 Commission said there is a link between Al Qaeda and Saddam. Second, we have found WMD in Iraq.
The quagmire of the left is that here is a dictator that murders his own people, but the left can not support his removable because such action would support their political enemies. That is what this is all about. Sweep the liberation of the Iraq people under the rug, pretend Saddam was a nice guy who never tortured and murdered his own people, and say this was all bout 9/11 or WMD.
And then when links between Saddam and Al Qaeda are found, and when WMD evidence is found, say it is not enough evidence, or deny it all together.
NY Times is the one who lost credibility when they misreported the 9/11 Commission’s findings for their own political purposes.
