Todd,
My views on the Iraq war are not about party politics. Please keep in mind I supported the Bush's administrations military action in Afghanistan. I also supported the elder Bush's Gulf War to rid Kuwait of the Iraqis.
My views are simple. There was no justification to go to war in Iraq - it was reckless judgement. The war in Iraq is not in the bests interests of the American people. The war in Iraq detracts from our efforts to stop international terrorism. And, the "post-war" occupation has been managed badly.
These views have nothing to do with partisan politics.
The better course would have been to continue the sanctions and inspections in Iraq, stabilize Afghanistan, catch Osama Bin Laden and focus our limited government resources on improved international intelligence to curtail islamic terrorism.
Regards,
Donald

- The truth is out there.
