Letters from a soldier

This is an article from the Arizona Republic, a generally conservative publication. The first day of the article it sounded like it might be a gung-ho pro-American piece but as you read these letters in chronological order you can see the soldier's growing dissolutionment with Iraq.

My guess, from all the references the soldier makes to God protecting him and his company, that his political affilliation is probably Republican although he never says. Just a gut feel.
