I have read many, many such letters posted around the internet. If there is one thing they have in common, it's incredulity that their efforts are being presented at home in such a negative manner. Their good works and victories are ignored. They don't understand why.
One theory is that "bad news sells." A less-charitable theory is that almost everyone who works in the media would give an arm to see Bush thrown out of office, and the "Vietnamization" of Iraq and a humiliating defeat and failure there would be a small price to pay to reach this goal.
Right now, the insurgents in Iraq are getting their asses thoroughly kicked. Again. Would you know it from looking at our media?
