This is just a blogger rumor - the result of incomplete research and then spread around the internet. David Alston served for four months with John Kerry. His wounds on January 29, 1969, were not considered serious as claimed by this uninformed blogger and he returned to suty under John Kerry's command.

This crap about John Kerry's service has got to stop. The man served this nation honorably under fire. All of the junk rumor mongering that's been spread around is just political character assassination concocted by partisan hacks for partisan purposes. You are a fool to fall for this junk...neither John McCain, nor Tommy Franks did. Even George Bush had to publically admit that John Kerry served this country honorably.

What's disgusting is that at the same time John Kerry was in the line of fire in Vietnam, George Bush was AWOL in Alabama helping one of his daddie's cronies get elected to office.
