No piece of antiamericanism seems to arouse any skepticism on your part whatsoever. A conspiracy theory at odds with history is taken as evidence by you that it must have happened elsewhere as well. This story looks like what is going on in Iraq. The US has tried to include people even as disgusting as AL-Sadr and former Bathists because there are large blocks of people that support them. It's what you do when you try and build democracies rather than hold on to empires as your reference indicates was France's goal.
Just like you ignore the fact that the US government did not control US purchase of French goods while Saddam did control lucrative French contracts, you ignore any evidence counter to your anti-American rhetoric and latch on any flimsy evidence in support of it.
The US has helped build/rebuild some of the strongest democracies in the world: Germany, Japan, South Korea, and even France. France has a record of former colonies that are basket cases of poverty and corruption. Deal with it and get over it. Don't expect historical parallels with France's long history of failure and colonialism to apply to the US.

Mark
