If we get a surprise of the nature you suggest in October...
...it will mean that the Bush administration has put the President's re-election ahead of the diplomatic credibility of the United States. Any information that would support the initial "compelling reason" to invade Iraq needs to be shared immediately, to restore some of our national stature and to bolster the confidence of our allies and other nations in the idea that we know what the hell we're talking about.
If such information is saved to give the President a pre-election bump in popularity, he will have put his career ahead of his nation's best interests. Would you thank him for that?
