Before June '44. without America supporting England, England would have strangled by German's wolf packs. Then England became America's huge unsinkable aircraft that was used to bomb Germany with thousand bomber aircraft raids. Italy and Africa had fallen and access to oil was lost.
Germany was cut off from rest of the world via shipping- Soviets had insignificant naval power. It was the British and increasingly America naval power which shutdown Germany from getting essential things like oil and rubber.
The main thing that stopped German from defeating Russia, was Hilter's stupidity and the unusually cold weather [and the sheer size of the country].
Also Germany had to use resource to defend against the expected British/American attack- the Altantic wall was enormously expense project [which was mostly a waste because allies went around the main areas of build up]
