Not sure what you were responding to but I'll tend to agree anyway

McAulliffe - shoulda been fired the first time he spoke.
MoveOn - pretty much irrelevant. compare their press coverage to SBVT
Michael Moore - disliked him when he ceased to be satirical. Doesnt help the debate.
Hollywood - who cares ( I think the right does more than the left, helps em feel more under-doggy)

Other than McAuliffe, I dont' think the rest really matter much. McAuliffe is in a position of relative power ans is in way above his head. OTOH, Ed Gillespie (is that the equivalent?) is no great shakes either. The public doesn't pay much attention to either guy.

Kerry himself - IMHO, he was the best of a bad bunch. 3 loons, token female, Leiberman Clark and Gephardt.
Does he waffle? Yes.
Does he flip-flop? Not half as much as the right would believe.
Has the campaign been run well? Not by a long shot.

I see incompetence in the campaign, less of it in the candidate. I can appreciate that you see several orders of magnitude less incompetence in candidate Bush than I do :-).

Neither party is without major problems.
The Dems have to placate both pro and anti-war supporters, big spenders and economic conservatives.
The Repubs have to placate deficit hawks and tax cutters, small govt conservatives and current policy makers, religious right and soccer moms, all while trying to seem moderate.

Both parties have equal chances of imploding if they lose.

I hope and pray that your last line is true and that whoever wins doesn't balls up the economy, Iraq, security and/or liberty.

May the best man win and may it be on issues and ideas that actually matter.
