Shouldn't that just have been just: "Nuts."

Go ahead, insult away. If you really hit a nerve it'll be rock hammers at ten paces.

Actually, at the time of your post, I was getting my feet into the new snow up at timberline. The aspen color is still good, clouds hung on the ridges, the sun sparkled on the lakes below....ahhhh. Took a hike with my wife to an old tungsten mine I'd never been to. No good pickings 'round the dump, but the wallrock consisted of these really cool, calc-silicate bearing, finely layered Proterozoic amphibolite as mega-xenoliths within a Tertiary coarse-grained quartz monzonite. Pretty neat the way the xenoliths largely maintained the orientations of the regional F2 structure despite being intruded. Very close to the edge of the intrusion so that is to be expected.

Got some great views of the divide which got a fair amount of snow. As much as what is in Larry J's view of Pikes Peak, upon which he is probably musing, unless he is stuck in traffic.

Oh, let me "lift the curtain" here: I'm the guy who reads Tech's blog. No, really. It's on my usual Blog tour. I saw the post on North Korea's big blast there before I saw it linked here. I also saw the update. Nothing new lately, though.
