That's a pretty vague number. How many of those were insurgents and terrorists, if any? How many of those died at the hands of insurgents and terrorists in car bombs or other attacks?

I want to see a casualty count that takes some account of causes, reasons, and context. Otherwise, it's pretty much useless.
