It's not polite to answer one's own question (and not terribly efficient, really), but here goes:
Of course not...with one important caveat--that he ignores the radical wing of his party. If Michael Moore, for instance, had the ear of the Prez, that would be a bad thing. Kind of like Paul Wolfowitz having influence. A bad thing.
But if Kerry were to steer a genuinely moderate path, I don't think all that much would change. Universal healthcare, for instance, still wouldn't come about because it's an impossibility. The war on terror would still rage. Europe would still thumb its nose at America (they aren't just disdainful of Bush, they're disdainful of us). Terrorists will still plan to do this country harm, and with each passing day the world will continue to become a more dangerous place, not because Bush is making it so, but because humanity is.
