that corporate political power has come about due to the bastardization of business and state? When laws are drafted to regulate businesses, it would be naive to believe that those very businesses would not work to affect the outcome of such legislation. When the state begins to excessively interfer with business, the law makers are usually the first things to be bought and sold.
We believe (and rightly so) that mixing of church and state is a bad idea because the end result will be a theocracy, but what many fail to see is that the mixing of business and state is no less dangerous. They insist on increasing government regulation of corporations, then complain about the corporate state that they helped to bring about.
