It's not nice to mess with Mother Nature...
I saw an item today discussing bombing the lava dome in Mt. St. Helens to release pressure. At the conference last weekend, someone brought up a study showing that it's feasible to "steer" a hurricane using immense mirrors in space to warm selected areas of the atmosphere and ocean.
These may work, but I don't think anyone would try this.
Remember the cardinal rule of weather control: once you've messed with it, anything that happens after that officially becomes YOUR FAULT. Would any would-be hurricane-puncher want to take that kind of risk?
Geez, the liability lawyers are already pronging wood just thinking about this.
