Someone is showing good sense sending excess plutonium to France. Because France is setup to reprocess spent nuclear fuel and uses breeder reactors, France is better equipped to burn plutonium in nuclear reactors and produce electricity. This is much better way to get rid a plutonium versus simply sticking it into the ground. Any honest environmentalist would recognise this immediately. The US currently has plutonium coming out of its ears due to the thousands of nuclear weapons that we have decommissioned along with the plutonium we bought from ex-Soviet states (also from decommissioned ex-Soviet weapons). If the US had better sense, we'd be converting our own plutonium into electricity rather than using fossil fuels (can't be clever about everything).

The US has too much plutonium

- France says: the future is nuclear
- BULLSHIT! The enormous subsidy needed to keep the French electric generation system going is carefully hidden in the national budget.

- You just make things up, don't you.
- The Chinese seem to be doing it fairly cheap.
- I'd have to admit that nuclear power is one area where the French seem to have beaten America all hollow.
