that conservatives are kept from pursuing the careers of their choice???
Where are all the horror stories, then? Your political brethren would not be the tiniest bit shy about publishing them.
There are lots of reasons why a particular political perspective might guide one to or away from a profession. And even that statement assumes a cause and effect chain that is not demonstrated by this study. Anybody who says they know why is just blowing smoke (technicaly they are presenting hypotheses for future study).
Jeez, why not just ask some conservatives why they aren't teaching? How about you, Tom? Did your mean professors send you packing because of your Libertarianism?
