Past Explorers Risked More & It Was Routine
The early explorations of the Americas and the Pacific cost many more lives than space has yet people kept going. Many people lost lives on the sea just in commerial fishing and trade. The hardships they endured in terms of isolation from family, temperature extremes, water and food deprivation were far worse too. Their deaths were not necessarily quick either when at the hands of hostile natives. Space is far more hazardous than any previous region of exploration, but we are far more prepared to handle it than past ages of exploration.
Happy Holidays,
