The American Astronomical Society is holding its 205th annual
convention/meeting in San Diego this coming week [Jan/09-Jan/13].

What is most astonishing and refreshing about this AAS meeting has to do with the Invited Session # 47 [Tuesday, January/11] that will deal with
this 'Intelligent Design' controversy vs. Secular [chance] formation
[i.e., Big Bang, etc].

This is the first time that I recall that such a controversial point-of-view
or hypothesis has found its way onto the itinerary of an AAS meeting where
it will be subject to both criticism and defence.

I eagerly await the outcome of such an AAS session.
