Keep the hypocrisy of religion within interesting but draughty buildings, and allow scientists to talk about science in a sensible forum, with people who need logic in their lives, not magic.
Most of the stories in the old testament are childish, ludicrous fairytales.
Anyone who seriously believes that two of every creature in existence (plus everything they needed to eat for a month) were rescued by one family in a 480ft boat, are not qualified to enter into any serious debate about the nature of reality.
It amazes me that a country ( the U.S ) at the forefront of so much scientific endeavour panders to people who believe in the collection of myths and fables that is the bible.
In different circumstances, Greek myth could have been given the credence currently afforded stories from the bible. (Is Hercules any more ludicrous than Noah)
