"Intelligent Design" is an attempt to hijack science.
There's really no reason for scientists not to hijack it right back at the fundamentalists trying to use it.
Such an action can be a means to demonstrate where the line is between physics and metaphysics. It can introduce some science -- finally -- into a discussion of what Intelligent Design really means.
The inventors of the term "intelligent design" intended to redefine their terminology to make it look more scientific. Scientists and their supporters should be ready and able to call their bluff by taking their challenge and actually discussing the term with scientific principles as benchmarks. The opportunities then exist for not only defining what Intelligent Design is, but what it isn't.
