re: Love them hoodoos!
One of my Geology professors, Dr. Nielson told our class (about 14 year ago) about his trip to some desert valley in the South West. He told us that the valley was full of hoodoos, and the desert heat would set them alive as it warmed the air near the surface. Then he said there where these large towering rocks, that resembled dinosaurs, that looked like they were ready to pounce on these hoodoos, and the hoodoos looked like they were jumping around.
The way he told it was hilarious. He got real dramatic with the dinosaur attacking the pour hoodoos. He was one of my favorite professors at SFA. And I just found him on the net! Isn’t the internet great!
