"Maybe, if there is no living will it should be when the people willing to pay the bill agree to call it.
I think she is dead but the parents want to keep her "alive" and I suppose they are willing to pay for it. If I am wrong about that and she is a burden on the state it is another issue.
If she is as dead as everyone thinks, she should be euthanized not starved.
As far as the expense and resources are concerned, what about cryo? People spend fortunes freezing bodies and heads in the hope that they can be re-whatever in the future. Is this so different? "
Terri Schiavo has plenty of money, she won settlement in a lawsuit, and got a million bucks to pay her medical/living expenses. This is an aspect of the dispute, if Mr Schiavo isn't divorced from her, he gets the money when she is killed. Mr Schiavo currently is living with another women and has kids. It's an obvious conflict of interest. But Mr Schiavo claims that her parents would receive the money, if he divorced, and therefore they also have a conflict of interest. Of course if Terri Schiavo were to somehow recover, she of course would divorce her husband [why an objective guardian wouldn't file divorce for Terri I don't know].
But one more element of this is the parents have encouraged the husband to move on with his life, and said they wouldn't object to her living with another women.
