After all, for most of their 8 and 10 months of life, they couldn't feed themselves. Even today, their ability to feed themselves is pretty limited. Without help, they'd die.
There are a lot of severly handicapped people who require feeding tubes to survive. A good friend of mine is almost completely paralyzed from MS. In the 10 years I've known him, he has gone from being able to get around with a walker to being in a wheel chair with limited use of his hands and none of his legs. Before too long, he'll no longer be able to feed himself. Are you suggesting that people like him should be starved to death? How about people with CP and other chronic conditions?
This notion that some people's lives are so bad that they don't deserve to live has been tried before. I'd prefer that we not go down that road.
