The $750,000 trust fund was exhausted years ago. This is part of the slander machine started up by the parents and spread by the political agenda of the Right To Life movement and aped without analysis by its followers.

Mr. Schiavo has been offered on the record up to a million dollars to walk away and assign guardianship to the parents. He has refused. He works hard, lives modestly, scrapes by. You are propagating a slander. Look into it.

It is not the "Main Cerebral Stem", it is called the brain stem. It is the connector to the bodys nervous system. The brain stem is a structural shadow to the brains of a billion years ago: the brains of reptiles and fish. Capable of responding to raw physical input, but little else.

The seat of emotion, love, hope, faith are in the Cerebral Cortex. It is precisely these areas of the brain that the lowest animals lack. It is precisely these areas of the brain where we have found activity when people are in a state of love or happiness or pleasure, or are experiencing intense spiritual sensations. Damage to these areas, outside the brainstem causes emotional problems.

Hundreds, thousands of peer-reviewed scientific studies illustrate this point decisevely: The seat of everything we associate with 'human' and 'person' is in the cortex and the forebrain.

Why should the passionate belief of a few overwhelm reason ane science?

This is also an incorrect accounting of the facts offered up by these delusional and ill parents of TS. In my view, Mr. Schiavo has acted with grace and love. Beyond 'my' view, the facts do not support the view propagated by the right wing nuts, the parents and the media: That Mr. Schiavo is somehow a heartless monmster.

Nope, the only thing unique about the case is that the Right Wing has mobilized an army of disoinformed suckers and whipped it into a national political movement to support a distantly related agenda.
