They can't give her a lethal injection because that would be murder. The husband wrongly or rightly wants to end what he percieves as her suffering. Her family wrongly or rightly is convinced that she is aware (admittedly in a very limited way) and that she wants to live.
The right to life and the right to die crowds have all taken predictable sides in a blind attempt to exploit the situation and force the courts to make foolish precedent setting decisions based on this terrible situation.
The courts, like true COWARDS, are doing everything they can to avoid making a tough precident setting decision. The Congree like true COWARDS, has avoided this subject like the black plaque in the past, knowing that it was a difficult decision that would truely effect people. the same idiots who rant and rave about the courts making legislation, refuse to make the legislation and are content to let the courts waddle in the mud...Death just isn't a subject that fits well with Congress's normal routine (ie. meaningless grandstanding on ridiculous self-created problems).
I hope and prey that she is not as aware as her family believes she is, because if she is that aware, then she is suffering terribly.
I wish there was something I could do. I wish I knew what to do if there was something I could do.
