I wanted to reply to your experience. Last night, I fell asleep only to feel as though I was awake. I remember feeling helpless, unable to move at all or make a sound. Then all of a sudden, my sister appeared at my door asking me to get out of bed. I tried everything to get her attention and communicate to her that I couldn't move nor speak. She just stood there waiting for me to respond and when I didn't, she left. I remember feeling something hitting my side and when I looked there was a large rat sitting next to me in my bed. He never looked at me but kept hitting me with his tail. I was so terrified that I tried to move to get away from him but I was still unable to do so. Then there was someone in my bathroom whom which must have just finished taking a shower and I thought to myself that this person would surely help me. When he came out of the bathroom, I realized that it must have been someone I trusted because he looked at me and asked me what was wrong as he sat by me on the edge of the bed. He could tell that I couldn't speak and instructed me to breathe as I have been taught to while exercising. He kept instructing me until I began to do so and then all of a sudden, he was gone, I was awake and able to move and talk again. I have never had this happen to me and I am curious as to what this may be and if it will happen again. It almost makes me afraid to sleep.
