A couple more items.

Two articles from New Scientist.

The first one talks about possible links between cosmic rays and temperature.

The very beginning goes like this:

The controversial idea that cosmic rays could be driving global warming by influencing cloud cover will get a boost at a conference next week. But some scientists dismiss the idea and are worried that it will detract from efforts to curb rising levels of greenhouse gases.

Then this one.

The Sun has been more active in the last 70 years than it has for the previous 8000, according to an analysis of tree rings dating back 11,400 years. But researchers say its recent bout of hyperactivity does not account for the rapidly rising temperatures recorded on Earth over the last three decades.

I disagree that solar activity is not a climate influence. Everyone working with satellites and the ISS knows that solar activity can change the configuration of the atmosphere significantly.

There are others. But the pattern is fairly clear. Turf is being defended. Human-caused global warming is the hammer, and the rest of the data are all nails. They don't WANT a different answer.

Speaking of turf, did you know that in the late 1990s, it's estimated that burning peat in Borneo released CO2 equivalent to 13 to 40 percent of all fossil fuel emissions?
