There's a maturation process for most people, which beats the black-and-white thinking out of one and replaces it with a rainbow view of the world. (Look at the black-and-white thinkers on these boards - very easy, very soft lives, very little internal conflict.)

Things lose much of their value, to be replaced with an appreciation of people, mankind, relationships, friends. One comes to understand that they are not a bit different from an Iraqi, Turk, Eskimo, African, and that those people also want to live and see their children grow.

And that anything which interferes with that is evil. (Look at your chosen pseudonym - childish in the extreme, demonstrating a limited understanding of the world, people and yourself.)

I shared yer naive trust, at one time. The government taught me to not trust it, period.

As for supporting my government and it's policies, well, in my time folks supported it with their lives. In your time you think mouthing off is patriotic, being a jingoistic juvenile is the epitomy of patriotism, yer flag-waving earns you a special place in heaven.

YOu not only don't know anything, zero, that which you do know is wrong. Yer way behind the curve.
