Tom still deludes himself into believing the insurgency doesn't really exist. This is precisely the same kind of muddled thinking that got us into Iraq in the first place. There is still a significant possibility that the whole country will collapse into civil war. One dearly hopes we can avoid that, but with the current idiot we have in the White House I kind of doubt it.
