That statement is one of the most ludicrous I've seen in these arguments.
They tried. See also: Mass graves, nerve gas, ecological genocide, etc.
Maybe the Jews should have taken out the Panzer divisions while they were at it. And how did John Brown do in this country?
Make your other arguments if you will, but you don't have a lot to stand on by declaring that Iraqis were somehow better off under Saddam. Physical safety is not everything. Again, check Iraqi opinions on this.
