FrankC: "If you feel that way then why did you bother to politicize the newspaper?"
MY Reply: I didn't - its everyone else whose avoiding the subject and making the newspaper's politics the issue. I made an off-hand remark while introducing five articles written by five different authors critical of the Bush administration's handling of the war. For some inexplicable reason neither you, Tom, nor Sam want to talk turkey about what the articles have to say. You want to change the subject.
The articles are clear. They state that the Bush administration took us to war upon a false premise, failed to plan ahead, has allowed an unrelenting insurgency to thrive and refuses to level with the American people about the true state of affairs over there.
Remember this is the same George Bush who over two years ago declared the "end of major hostilities" in Iraq. You know. Mr. George "mission accomplished" Bush.
Stop avoiding the subject and deal with reality. 1,746 American soldiers are dead and many more will die before this debacle is ended. Its not about politics. Its about failed judgement and incompetence.
