Unfortunately, this train wreck keeps on running pretty much as one would expect. I once watched Sharon and Rabin debate strategy on MacNeil Lehrer. It took Rabin about 2 minutes to bring Sharon to the course which he is implimenting today. Rabin was later shot by the extremists, and it is quite possible that the same fate awaits Sharon. It is certain that they will back Netanyahu in future elections.
If you think the Gaza wihtdrawl has been tough, wait until it comes time to withdraw from any part of the West Bank. I expect chaos in Israeli politics, and it will get vicious.
It is interesting to note how mainstream media conducts their negative campaign against W.. "Bush is lower in the polls" "a majority now feel that..." No reasons given. No there there. No facts. Just the same mantra constantly repeated. It's occuring pretty much as I expected, and right on schedule at that.
