I really want to see that energy use itemized, separated into running tractors, drying crops, fertilizer, and the rest. What are the tall poles in the tent? Would a non-carbon source of power, like nuclear or solar, be applicable for some of it?
How about other sources of biofuel? What about biodiesel instead of ethanol? What about biofuel-rich plants that thrive under poor conditions?
