There is another option, instead you could against the idea of having the WMD section in the ceasefire agreement. Without this clause in the agreement, completing the cease fire agreement could been easier and would have less chance of having UN involved and sanctions, etc. But you also would be willing to allow that Saddam would by now probably have nuclear weapons [from what we now seem to know].
