Things are getting interesting here.
We are now evacuating Katrina evacuees to Arkansas (Some of them anyway). Galveston evacuees are heading north to Huntsville, TX. There are no hotel vacancies, thanks to Katrina in Houston north to East Texas and into Louisiana.
The new storm track is putting Rita just to our south. That wouldn't be a direct hit, but it would put us on the dity side. The storm suge would still fill up the bay, causing massive flooding.
It is still a few days off. I lot can happen, but we are getting prepared.
