Excuse me, but the science is compelling. Green house gasses are increasing temperatures here on earth. Now these increasing temperatures have been correllated with increasing the severity of hurricanes. Its a reasonable connection - warmer temperatures means warmer seas and warmer seas means more energy to power hurricanes. Doesn't that suggest to you we should be taking action now to curtail the production of green house gasses?

Its not rocket science. Its good public policy. Even if the science isn't 100% certain about global warming, we know for certain that these green house gasses are hazardous to human health. It will take decades to reverse the trends human activity has set in motion. Mr. Bush has squandered his opportunity during his first term in office to make a difference. Its high time he got started before the consequences of current public policies and indifference are irreversible. Being poliitical about what we do with nature is entirely natural.
