Yes, Robert, you have stated exactly the reasons why I pay attention to the Zone. Thanks for the input. See my response to Frank. Am I to understand that you have taken a close look at this photo? Some time ago I viewed the fairly recent ESA photo of the same south polar region, and it looks normal.
