Hollywood tried to make a movie out of an Ayn Rand book [snaps fingers impatiently, still draws a blank], and got badly burned at the box office. Anything by Ayn Rand attempts to deify big businessmen, but the public didn't buy it.
Expanding into books, can you think of an author besides Rand whose protagonists are saintly big businessmen? I think it isn't just Hollywood, the problem is that a large majority of people just don't sympathize with positive portrayals of the wealthy and powerful.
