Lindy, I believe I heard the man who's behind this video and pushing to reopen the 9/11 investigation on the radio the other day and I have to tell you that I think the whole idea that there was this vast conspiracy to blow up the buildings with explosives or that an airliner didn't hit the Pentagon is a crazy notion. It's one of those theories that require way too many people to be involved to have any chance for success without significant leakage of information. I mean think of the implication. For such a plan to have been conceived, administration officials would have to had to coordinate with the terrorists who flew the planes. That's a stretch even for the wack jobs we have at the top.

I do believe however that there's a real possibility that the administration knew the attack was coming and suppressed evidence that could've stopped it or simply had their eye on Iraq so much that it wasn't worth their time. The alternative to that is simply that they were miserably incompetent.

The old phrase about outrageous claims requiring outrageous proof holds fast here. When someone produces a video claiming the towers were taken down by pre-planted explosives or that an airliner didn't fly into the Pentagon with nothing more than circumstantial evidence it makes the theorists seem foolish. Problem with that is the label ends up going on anyone trying to shine a light on disturbing parts of the attack or our response to it. There are many unanswered questions that need full disclosure and the people trying to get those answers may very well be thwarted by the wild conspiracy theories. I'd think it best for everyone to not give these people creedence at this time.
