Why does anybody caught up in any of this deserve it? I feel really badly for your friends that have lost children to the war but Cindy Sheehan is not attacking them or the people that were lost. She is at war with the man that sent them there. Why would you take that right away from her? Why would these parents remove her rights as a citizen to state her views? Then what did their children die for?

Maybe you're the one manipulating Cindy Sheehan because you're assuming her thoughts and her energy in her quest could not possibly be her own. You don't know her. You've never sat down and talked with this woman but yet you're dismissing her ability to make up her own mind about a subject simply because a few high profile Democrats show up alongside her.

I can't make that distinction about her. All I can base my opinions on is this fleeting glimpse I have into her eyes as she makes very convincing public statements. So far what I've seen is genuine and that makes me think that she's primarily running her own show. Perhaps Scott that, after meeting with politicians on both sides of the political fence, she's hanging out now with people that also seemed more genuine and human, ones she judged on an individual basis. If they happen to be Democrats, so be it. Let's face it. If she found people in the Republican party she got along with, it'd be political suicide for them to hang with her.

I think you diminish yourself when you take on so easy a target.
